  4. Just a tip on suicidal thoughts. The thing that got me out of it is self talk an example of that self talk goes like: "you know self if you act on that thought then your the most cowardly human on the face of the planet plus if you act on it Satan would be very happy with you."

  7. I couldn’t agree more Dr. EKBERG.My personal experience after 10 years of depression I found NLP stopped my depression in its tracks. I believe depression is a practiced behaviour…just like happiness.I’ve been able to maintain balance since 2003.

  8. Ive heard that depression is either a mental disorder or mental illness which is simply not true. Depression is a mood disorder that can either go away on its own which the cause is circumstantial like a death in the family or its severe and you need medication for the rest of your life

    In the summer of 2009 I was so tired of "my life" that I wanted nothing more than to go to sleep and never wake up again. It would have been nice if I had come across this video at that time. I did get lucky, however, when I quite by accident found this CBT package; Overcoming Social Anxiety Disorder, Step by Step. By a Dr. Thomas A. Richards. If you liked this video you will also like that therapy. It has the same information you've just learned but in a little bit more detail, and it's a step by step 30-minutes-a-day therapeutic program. It saved my life! Perhaps literally.
    A few months into it I found Mark Sisson's book, The New Primal Blueprint. That caused me to become physically healthy. Then I found Eckhart Tolle and am now 'enlightened'. Then along came Dr. Ken Berry and this Dr. Sten Ekberg and life just gets better and better. And just when I think it can't get any better it gets better again. And two years ago I was suicidal! LOL! So if you are depressed, fear not. There's definitely hope. And I wish you a healthier happier journey, starting right NOW. (Which is all there ever is, by the way. But you can hear all about that from old Eckhart if you care to) 😉

I guess I see too many you tube videos I love learning and I have questions but I can't even begin to say how it bothers me that something that could be said in a few mins takes more and it makes my brain just say get on with it and I loose interest and don't have a clue what the heck they are saying anymore…………………………………..just say stuff tell me how to fix it maybe if you need to make a sub video explaining or over explaining everything……………really I enjoy you and ? probably will continue to watch but for goodness sake can someone just say ……………………………this is it……..these are the symptoms…………..this is what to do…………..and less big brain words. So sorry if I offend anyone I do value this it is just dang get to the point.

  11. Selenium will help you a lot. It can run out mercury from your body. Eat Salmon and Cod often. Very good for your brain. Lower your consumption of sugar. Find something else to bring you pleasure and comfort.

  12. As a Christian I believe we must walk by faith constantly. We must cast down imaginations by faith and not allow negative thinking to usurp authority over what God has empowered us with. He has not given us a spirit of fear but of POWER, love and a SOUND mind.

  13. I agree 100% If someone enjoys working out lifting weights running riding a bike. But if you suffer a major injury & everything you enjoyed is gone!! It truly is depressing.

  14. I'm listening to this while resting between heavy (for me) sets of barbell lifts. Building physical strength happens by means of a Stress, Recovery, Adaptation cycle. I'm struck by the similarities between that phenomenon and what Dr Ekberg is talking about here.

  16. Dr. Eckberg, especially now so many people I know are really depressed. Even one friend of mine confided in me and said he thinks often about suicide. He even knows exactly how he will do it 😬 Is there any way you could please do a special video specifically about this subject. I know my friend lost his job, his longtime gurlfriend cheated on him & they broke up, she even took the 2 cats with her. Anyway I don’t know how to help him, he’s so isolated right now. Anything you could say on this topic would be greatly appreciated 🙏
