6 Ultimate BENEFITS OF EXERCISE For Diabetes, Insulin, Weight Loss, Your Brain & More

6 Ultimate BENEFITS OF EXERCISE For Diabetes, Insulin, Weight Loss, Your Brain & More. Why exercise? Exercise is good for the heart and losing weight, but the brain is the most important organ we have and it gets the most benefit. The human brain helps us get around and tells each body part what to do, but without exercise and movement the brain shrinks and stop working correctly. Exercise has been shown to grow new neurons, makes you smarter, reduce chances of neurological disease such as Alzheimer’s, it reduces blood sugar in the blood stream, and so much more. Learn what the best exercise is for you.

Exercise helps regulate hormones such as BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) and HGH (human growth hormone) which can intern help your memory, over all health, brain power, depression, anxiety, add/adhd, focus, productivity, intelligence and of course weight loss.

Aerobic exercise, anaerobic exercise and HIIT high intensity interval training are the 3 types of ways to exercise, but what is exercise doing for your body, what exercise does for your brain, heart, circulation, depression, mood, fatigue, aging, insulin resistance, diabetes, etc. The list could go on and on because exercise is so important! I hope this video is motivation for you to get up and start exercising.

My issues are with insulin resistance. Your explanations gave me in-depth understanding and now the wisdom on how to improve my health issues. 5. As an 81 yr female with D2 & very painful neuropathy for 2 yrs, Dr. you have helped me more than anyone I have been to see. This class on exercise is the Best! Do you have it all in a book? I want to get it! Thank you Dr. you are the best! Alma.

  6. A little bit off with the aerobic vs anaerobic material. An all out 400m effort is actually mostly aerobic and an all out 5k is 94% aerobic and takes the average runner 30 minutes. The aerobic zone starts at 60% of max HR roughly too and goes up as far as a persons lactate threshold which actually sits as high as 87% of max HR.

    Speaking as a running coach.

  7. Thank you doc! Im going to do this and hope this darned sugar problem gets controlled. What id like to know is if hiit has any +ve impact on blood vessels/arteries apart fm improving circulation?

  10. Dear Dr. Ekberg,

I wish to know If stair-climbing as fast as possible can be regarded as HIIT?
Because everyone use elevators, thus stairs (a.k.a. fire escape) are empty and probably are the best place to cultivate HIIT.
