    a few questions , a hypothetical person , 280 lbs (on janumet 850mg 2x daily) started LCHF and IF/ADF (stopping his meds) and after 4 months lost 65 lbs and his freqent urination gone. But his A1C checked at 9% after 4 months.. what could be wrong ? he lost lot of weight and feels great but why A1C so high ? what is possible reason for high A1C ? degraded pancreatic function ?

  6. HI Dr. Ekberg! I was at a 5.7 a1c and have recently had a reading of 8.2. I have kept this in check by diet and exercise but of course, relapsed. My Dr. Wants to put me in meds, so fasting now and thinking about looking for another Dr. I've done this to myself so time to get busy!

  8. Thank you Dr. Ekberg, I was 5.9 on my A1c June 8th 2021, August 12 home health care nurse PA with our insurance did an A1c on me to see where I was after following your advice and was 5.4. I sometimes have the 'morning rise'. I eat low-carb and do IF 3-4 days a week I keep my carbs between 50-90. I exercise every day (walking 20-30 minutes).

  9. Hi, I am type 1 Insulin dependent Diabetic, I enjoy and learn a lot with your videos, but most of them are related to a Type 2 Diabetes, can you dedicate some more to Type 1 please, it will be greatly appreciate it by the Type 1 diabetic community.
    I am 70 years old, diabetic since I was 25, very poor control during the most time of my life, no too many complications but 2 ischemic strokes, doing intermittent fasting, I take bulletproof coffee in the mornings, nd I am trying to reduce weight and my belly fat, but sometimes I feel nothing is working.

As a tangential point as I watched this particular video do you have any thoughts on why ‘the body’ is different in the sense of athleticism-why some different bodies have innate ability to run with oxygen consumption better than some competitors. Why some can run further for longer compared to others. Is there such a thing. as a ‘standard athletic ‘ body equivalent to homeostasis? Keep up your excellent advocacy. Love it all.

Beneficial side effects include decreased blood pressure, weight loss, increased energy, better sleep, improved moods. I'm looking forward to my cholesterol levels. I'd been pre-diabetic for years and was getting no help from my doctors. When my last blood tests indicated I was just about at diabetic levels I decided to do some research.   16. I’m type 2 diabetic and I’ve completely gotten off my insulin but I’m still on metformin and ozempic. I do always have a low blood sugar. I’m also doing keto and intermittent fasting. My doctor wants me to remain on those medications

  17. What about a type 2 diabetic who has had their gallbladder removed? They are sensitive to certain foods, such as some types of fat. Does the gallbladder influence anything? Or is it just having the liver ok?

  18. Hello doctor. I love all your video. I feel like I’m now a family doctor. My mum was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two months ago. She has cut down carb extremely and she is on metformin at the moment. She is extremely doing with with the low carbs, exercise and the medication. Can she stop the medication and Dixon the low carbs????

  20. dr. Ekberg lately I have done my yearly check-up & full blood test with fasting. my blood glucose was 90, my doc was not happy with the result, should i be worry ? (BTW, last year blood glucose was 98 and I was not even aware of Intermittent fasting whatsoever).

  21. The longer I fast the higher my sugar rises. . When I fast to one meal a day rises to 400 to 500 only goes down slowly after I eat doesn't make since to me .. so I only fast 14 to 16 hours. . Still rises but not as far.. lucky me I'm all backwards
