  1. How do you count carbs when you don’t eat much packaged foods? I eat meat and fresh vegetables. I do buy canned diced tomatoes, tomato paste, bullion, cheese, bottled vinegar and I just noticed balsamic vinegar has sugar 🙁 so I’m switching to ACV for my salads.

  2. I avoided carbs for a long time, lost 40lbs, became fat adapted. I’ve ridden my bike 100 miles with no food, felt great. Started eating carbs and I bonked yesterday at 50 miles. I haven’t bonked in years. Try to avoid all carbs.

I've noticed that all the vegetables in the produce section don't come with one of those nice nutrition labels giving the breakdown of protein, carbs, sugar, fiber, etc. Is there a good source for that information? You readily cite the total carbs and fiber figures for avocados and flax, for example, but most of us don't have that information at our fingertips. Thanks for any response you may have.

  6. You don’t need to count calories if you wanna lose weight. Just cut your bread intake to about 1/2 slice of good quality bread per day or cut it out entirely. Just eat salads with plenty of organic iced greens, beets, artichokes and good quality cold cuts. One slice of grass-fed New Zealand cheddar and EASY on the salad dressing. 🥬 🍖 CUT down the SUGAR to a few teaspoons/day. Get 30 mins of walking 4-5 times a week. DONE. Don’t over-complicate it.

  10. Hi Doc, since starting fasting 5.5 weeks ago I have lost 13kg.
    I am 64 years old, on no medication. Work 12 hours days in the Mines on a 2/1 shift.
    I started by listening to Dr Fung and listen to your analogy on what foods to eat when I end my fasts. I have been fasting between every meal.
    Thank you so much. Not eating foods that spike insulin has made a big difference.

  13. Sorry doc but you are wrong,, butyrate is the main short chained fatty acid, not acetate, sorry doc. Prebiotics are way better than butter for butyrate. There is a reason if you fast long enough your liver creates butyrate compounds. Love the doc, but this is his most inaccurate video I have seen of his

  14. Please help me with food ideas for low carbs. I have followed IF and have so far lost 14lbs but I keep hitting a plateau. I am trying omad but I keep feeling I am eating wrong.

  17. I eat 20 total carbs or less in a day. I feel that there are a lot of hidden carbs when counting only net carbs. I'd be very interested to hear your professional opinion on lectins and oxalates in vegetables. Thank you for your wonderful videos.

  18. Please could you advise me as what to eat when recovering from a n intestine infection of sorts? I picked up some yummy bug somewhere with the usual symptoms of pain , not tolerance of food , runny tummy etc.for a couple of days. I started keto 2 months ago and it is going well. But now as I start to recover and can eat a little again, I wonder what, since I can't yet digest heavy, fatty food items. But if I eat the traditional easy digested foods for recovery ( rice/oat water, steamed carrots, grated apple with lemon(pectin), plain dried toast bread etc) I will be kicked out of ketosis and have to start the process all over again. Could you advise me on light digestible keto friendly recovery foods how to get well again? I can only think of broth….
