  1. We should learn that at school while little kids. We learn that some things are bad, but I never learnt that carbohydrates where responsible for bad health. Most people still don’t know. They believe that eating less calories and some sports should be enough to make you lose weight. I wish I had known that when I was younger, I wouldn’t have weakened my body with so much sugar.

  2. this is complicated, but nevertheless, the weight gain and loss scenarios are well explained here. Understanding Hornones (insulin)and NOT carb counting. It's the answer to regaining control of our bodies.

  3. In defense of Rubens thesis, where does he count calories? What he talks about is fat-molecules, how they are broken down and leave your system. I think he mentions that KCal and KiloJoules are a tad bit misleading considering their purpose. My personal opinion is that KCal should only be used to measure the sustenence going in.
    Moreover if you apply a diet with less carbohydrates in it after following his idea, your insulin will drop aswell,

  4. Had no clue what Insulin does to our bodies and I understand so well that our body is so smart and whatever our eating habits is it tends to adapt and encourage us to continue the pattern . It is us who need to control our body and not the other way round

  6. Dr. Ekberg's video is one of the most informative I've seen…brilliant. message is simple, excess carb triggers insulin and turns excess carb into fat. So eat low carb, don't trigger insulin, keep burning fat, simple and easy. And as Dr. Ekberg nicely put it, "…biology has additional rules on top of physics and they are called hormones…". Thanks a lot.

  8. That's all great, but the question is where does the extra fat from the huge omlets, butter, bacon …etc go when someone eats more fat than he/she burns? Does it get converted to triglycerides and ultimately stored as fat leading to obesity as well? Eventhough consuming that big fatty meal didn't trigger insulin. This is having in mind that a gram of fat has more than twice the calories from a gram of carb or protein.

  9. Is it "correct" to say that the "atom in atom out" analogue still holds true. And see this as a explanation of where the carbon atom is coming from when you breathe during the day (glycogen or stored fat)?
