  1. Well reading the comments you get a sense that the Keto diet will reduce your weight when combined with intermittent fasting. Hmmm I was never overweight but on the Keto diet 16/8 IF and my A1c last month was 7.2 absolutely nowhere near what so many others claim. My lowest last year was 3.6 after riding my fully loaded touring recumbent 97 miles the first day of my tour. Second day was much lower in distance. So I seem to have insulin resistance and yet doing everything that is supposed to get rid of insulin resistance , I still have it?

  2. Dr. Can you please help understand why my smart body is destroying my thyroid gland. Ive had full blown Hashimoto's disease for over 30 years.
Not sure how I'm not dead, maybe my healthy nutrition, running and cycling is keeping me afloat? No doctor ever has any clue.

  3. there has been a cure for cancer a long time ago, but the powers that be are in control and hiding it from the public. there is no money for a cure !
like this plandemic. it's all scam and they are in control….. and we are just sheeples….. tsk, tsk, tsk…

  4. My husband has diabetes type 1 and is on ketogenic diet, with very low sugar intake (almost zero grams a day). He eats a lot of fats, meat and low carb greens. Is it possible that he will create his own insuline one day? He doesn’t use any treatment right now, just the natural treatment by taking away carbs. My concern is that he burns muscle tissues which results in glucose in the body. He needs fats. But to change fats to ketones, I wonder if you need insulin for that proces. I cannot find this information. Can you help us?

  5. Dr.Ekberg ,you are amezing .seeing your videos get a boost of health.its so informative and educating.i being a medical doctor feel we were misguided n misinformed about the treatment of diabetes.have followed your advice if IF n low carb diet which has given immense benifits.

  6. I’ve watched so many videos, was on keto for 4 months and lost 35;pounds and felt amazing. But no one ever addresses hair loss I had to stop keto because my hair just would not stop coming out and still does 2 years later. I want to be on keto and feel better but I pray someone could help me regarding hair loss. Did keto damage my hair follicles forever? Please help anyone ?

  7. Doctors must know that this treatment makes IR worse. I think they're factoring in the patients' lack of discipline, which is a real obstacle.

  8. I'm happy I'm finally cured from fibromyalgia .all thanks to Doctor Salami on his YouTube channel for curing me with his herbal products. You can also come contact him for your health isuess today.

  9. I just got an email from Harvard Medical School about treating diabetes. Here is an excerpt:

"Vegetables, fruits, and whole grains provide more nutrition per calorie than refined carbohydrates and tend to be rich in fiber. Your body digests high-fiber foods more slowly — which means a more moderate rise in blood sugar.

For most people with diabetes, carbohydrates should account for about 45% to 55% of the total calories you eat each day. Choose your carbohydrates wisely — ideally, from vegetables, whole grains, and fruits. Avoid highly refined carbohydrates such as white bread, pasta, and rice, as well as candy, sugary soft drinks, and sweets. Refined carbohydrates tend to cause sharp spikes in blood sugar, and can boost blood triglyceride levels.

Fiber comes in two forms: insoluble fiber, the kind found in whole grains, and soluble fiber, found in beans, dried peas, oats, and fruits. Soluble fiber in particular appears to lower blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity, which may mean you need less diabetes medicine. And a number of studies suggest that eating plenty of fiber reduces the chances of developing heart disease — and people with diabetes need to do all they can to lower their risk."

Amazing. That is recommending approximately 1,000 calories/250 grams of carbs a day, and their entire focus is on increasing fiber. This absolutely drives me nuts. This is so far off target that it is pathetic.

I am so thankful for your videos, Dr. Ekberg. I started LCHF almost three years ago. Your videos have helped me take it to the next level, and become even more healthy. Please keep spreading the word, because this stuff coming out of Harvard is just nuts and is killing people. The sad part is, they don't even know it.

  10. It's not the doctors fault that they prescribe medication instead of applying a "common-sense" solution. Remember that any deviation from the "standard of care" puts the doctor in great risk of getting sued and losing his license. Given that the majority of patients are unable to follow complex instructions (anything that goes beyond swallowing some pills) it's understandable that few doctors are willing to take their chances!

  11. College educated doctors only know the basic knowledge of the physical body & mental state. They do know quite a bit about how to heal the most common conditions, but I think when it comes to more complex conditions, they are blind. A spiritual approach in conjunction with natural herb treatments, in my opinion will result in a much better outcome than from using biopharma chemi-drugs.

  12. That´s explains why i gained 10 kgs in last year withut changing my diet or moving regime (mostly not moving) since i got Januvia. Before i had Trulicity, it was great, but ot totally upsets my guts…

  13. I hope I can get your opinion on Semaglutide. My endocrinologist recommended it, and it dramatically reduced my insulin requirements to only 4 or 5 units a day, however the warnings that come with it are pretty scary, including the risk of thyroid cancer. I'm 72, have type II, and was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I'm also seriously hypertensive, which I only recently found out because it turns out my doctor's assistants didn't know how to use a sphygmomanometer properly, so always told me my blood pressure was ~120/80. His new Omron has me at ~160/100.

I quit taking the Semaglutide because sometimes I get nauseous and throw up for no apparent reason. I always feel fine afterwards, so I don't understand what's going on, but I suspect the Semaglutide was aggravating the situation. I know that many medications come with undesirable trade offs, but it's hard to get a straight answer out of my doctor on this. Do you have an opinion on the safety of Semaglutide that you could share with me and your other diabetic viewers?

  14. I have watched your videos on diabetes type 1 and 2 and would really like to see another on type 1,5/LADA. I am hesitant to begin watching other YouTube channels for further misinformation.
Really appreciate the manner in which you present and explain in such an interesting and memorable way.
    Very much appreciated.

  15. I have very recently subscribed to your channel. Your explanations are second to none and It seems obvious to me that you are dedicated to informing and educating a public who are often misinformed by thier own medical doctors. I have been re

  16. Thank you Dr. Ekberg. When we fix the cause we will also eliminate the symptoms. This great video needs to be shared to everyone who wants proper long term health.

  17. It seems strange that for 100 years we have been studying animal nutrition and “know” that equal calorie intake of macro nutrients. This can be shifted from 33% to 20-50% with little harm but we recommend 60% carbohydrates for humans.

  18. Thank you so much Dr. Ekberg. I feel like I owe you my life. I've had a number of instances that have caused me to distrust the medical community. My diabetes is just one more. Just Band-Aids over underlying problems. I used to simply go on keto, CrossFit workouts, and rapidly lose weight and become quite fit. Now that I'm 62 it's not so easy anymore. For the last couple of months, I've been hard at again. Including OMAD fasting. Keto strips are dark purple, but my glucose levels have remain high. As high as 200 a month ago, to this mornings check at 140. So I still have a long way to go and have finally realized that I can never go back to biscuits and gravy and waffles and syrup. I've now decided that I need to try a few 72 hour fasts one in a while to try to reduce my insulin resistance. My belly skin is becoming looser, but the scale hovers at 180lbs. And my strength and endurance increases are not improving like they used to. Thanks again for explaining this in a manner fit for my simple mind!

  19. I don't think my doctor has ever measured my insulin level, just my A1C, which is bad, ~9-10. I didn't even know there was a way to measure insulin, but I inject between 12-18 units of Novalin R per day. I'm 72 and not overweight (~165 lbs.) Is that bad? I tried Ozempic, and that brought my insulin use down to 4 or 5 units per day, but it makes me throw up, which I have no tolerance for. Plus, it doesn't sound safe with a risk of thyroid cancer… I also have Hashimoto's hypothyroidism.

Sometimes I feel like my doctor's not that sharp, or not that interested. He writes some prescriptions or refers me to a specialist, and we're done. I honestly don't even know how to find a better doctor. It seems like that's what they all do.

  20. why do they put u on metformin, but when your sugar goes down we can stop? But they never stop, they never talk abt insulin resistence. its all abt big pharma making money.

  21. I have watched almost all your videos! I totally agree with you! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. Can you also make video on how much water should we take? How important water to us?
