What To Eat On One Meal A Day (OMAD) (Intermittent Fasting Diet)

What To Eat On One Meal A Day Diet (OMAD) (Fasting Diet). Eating one meal a day is a form of intermittent fasting where one eats in about a one hour time frame. A lot of people are fasting and eating one meal a day, and it has become very popular for many reasons. Making healthy choices around nutrition while following the one meal a day diet is not hard if you go about it correctly. Dr Ekberg explains just how to get the most out of OMAD without side effect or suffering.

What you eat on one meal a day is important. While it can help people lose weight it is not good to eat junk food or processed food. You will learn how to do OMAD while eating in a healthy manner from this video because being thin does not mean someone is healthy.

When wondering what to eat on one meal a day you will find it easier to do it gradually and incorporate more fats like in a Keto diet.

Make sure you also take in enough calories with one meal a day. OMAD, or any fasting, can crash your metabolism if your not getting enough calories.

  1. Does it break your fast when you use mouthwash and brush your teeth? Iโ€™m sure there is sugar in both products, although I am not swallowing mouthwash or toothpaste, Iโ€™m sure some absorbs into your system.

  2. For people that are able to get into ketosis eating 50g of carbs/day: I HATE AND AM JEALOUS OF YOU. I can't get into ketosis and reap its fat loss benefits unless I'm under 20-25 carbs/day, but when I'm ketosis the results are super fast.

  3. Thank very much for your very complehensive health clips.
And if you want to do some research on effect one meal a day, there are a sufficient number of forest munks in Thailand that you can ask for cooperation.
Generally, they are healthy and live long.

  4. I didn't know about keeping the calory intake the same while fasting before I found this video. I've been reducing my calory intake for months now and I think I can feel that my metabolism has slowed down, my stomach also shrink so I can't eat much during a meal. Should I eat more to regain my BMR? I'm just afraid that eating more will destroy my 5-months fasting result. I want to lose weight, I've down 12kg in 5 months from 95 to 83, my ultimate goal is 75kg but now I hit a plateau. Please help me with my metabolism. Thanks in advance.

  5. Thank you De Ekberg for all your information. I'm starting OMAD having my one meal at night. If I have a vegetable fruit smoothie in the morning will this break the fast?

  6. Found out recently that I was gluten intolerant, havenโ€™t eaten bread for six months, slowly cutting out dairy and am down to two meals a day and feel so much better for the first time in thirty years. Always naturally skinny and I have learned the hard way that my body doesnโ€™t handle large meals

  7. i couldnt find anyway to lose weight , nothing, i switched to eating 1 time a day at the same time everyday , im not doing keto none of that, i eat a basic meal(1500Cals) but i stuff my face it lasts me till the next day ..lol i dunno why but ive lost 39 lbs so far, i'll get healthier as i go but its working.

  8. I listen to you religiously but I never agree with your principle belief o f low carb diet. I am lean and as fit as anybody out there . I eat high carb food just like entire population of this Earth. I am active and I rarely eat processed food. MOST of my family member have lived nearly 100 years before passing away. We traditionally eat one meal a day . We usually eat early evening only but drink tea regularly. I usually break my fasting with honey and toast or a good size cake. I am 68 and probably as fit as anybody on earth just like my father and grand father was.

  9. I'm on the OMAD stage eventually for over a week now. I have never felt more great. My energy is consistently booming! Don't like the 30min energy dip after eating though. But it's very important to first become fat adapted. It literally took over a year to gradually change my relationship to food to finally omad eating now. I still cheat sometimes with a piece or 3 of dark chocolate after a meal. It really hits the satisfied spot. But most of my food is raw. No refined carbs. No sugary drinks. Meat mostly up to 4 times a week(small portions). Cooking only with slow hot steam. Turmeric root slices in water, most of my mornings ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŒŸ very happy gut from that. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ I traded a buff looking body for a lean skinnier looking one and it feels WAY better. Looks ain't everything …especially at 55. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’–

  10. Well I didn't know about the keto diet so I just went into OMAD very low crab 2 or 3 chicken legs 3 boil eggs a spoon of potatoes or 1 cup whole grain rice or a dish of beef 3 eggs and lots of peanut and a handful of almond. I'm 157 5ft. 10 inches. I'm doing 0MAD for health benefits so far so good
