  1. I’m thinking that continued weight loss without hunger or cravings is indicative of metabolic flexibility and being fat adaptive but I have some other questions:
    What is the relationship between ketosis and autophagy? Does the MCT oil accelerate autophagy? If you make bullet coffee with regular coconut oil and grass fed butter every morning, the do OMAD every afternoon, are you likely to be reaching autophagy? I know I can measure ketones but how can I measure autophagy?

  3. Why are you referring to β€˜sliced bread’ as a good thing? Aren’t carbohydrates to be avoided? Especially sugary white bread! We also need to avoid hollow cliches…

  4. My coffee gets quality MCT every time. I can basically go until dinner after my coffee and not be hungry. I just like the way it makes my coffee taste. After learning this however, maybe I'll dial it back a bit.

  7. the first time a took a tbsp of mct was in middle of 80's (bodybuilding propose)

    An excellent product by Mead Johnson, sold in 1 liter amber glass jar.

    It was so pure that could melt the plastic.

    Well, I did took one tbsp(5 ml) and ran best I could to nearest bathroom πŸ™‚

  8. Thanks for another great video. Just one puzzle. If insulin is the bodies’ defence against excess glucose in the blood then what is the bodies’ defence against MCT overdose, since MCT does not trigger insulin?

  9. Dr. Ekberg, thank you for your many helpful videos. I am on Keto, and following many of your recommendations and videos. I do have a question about blood triglyceride levels. I have a level that ranges around 200 to 260, and doctors fuss about that… my total Cholesterol is about 170, with and HDL of about 50, so a little over 3.2 ratio. I am on a statin, 10mg. I have watched many of your videos on cholesterol, but i have yet to find anything about blood triglycerides. I will keep searching…. Thanks….

    My MCT oil is "Purely Inspired" brand. It is said to be "100% Pure". Label says that it supplies Capric and Caprylic acids "and does not have the undesirable fatty acids". Does that mean no Lauric acid? It doesn't show the ratios. Am I okay using this?

  12. Thank you Sir. I do currently have malabsorption issues with sibo. So my c8 mct oil helps. I use 2 tsp a day right now plus lots of coconut oil as it doesn’t hurt my stomach and provides calories. Mct also is helping me train for longer fasts to hopefully heal the sibo.
