  1. I have hyperglycemia sometimes but I don’t have insulin resistance. I have type 1 diabetes. High caloric Keto diet also increases my blood sugar( in a stubborn way) and since it extremely low on carbs, I don’t know how much insulin to take.

  2. Definitely not impossible to find real pasture raised chicken. But I agree, grass fed beef, grass fed lamb, and pasture raised duck are much more flavorful and satisfying. And yes, do to exact opposite of what Big Ag, Big Pharma, and the man in the white lab coat tell you to do!

  3. Wow! When CIA director William Casey said to President Reagan, "We'll know our disinformation campaign is complete when everything the American public believes is false," I didn't realise he was also talking about information from the mainstream medical community!

  4. This is a nice idea and all, but it skips the mechanism. How is excess sugar causing the resistance itself? All the research I have seen says the resistance is caused by those saturated fats you recommend, which can be observed hours after ingesting them. If you are going to contradict that, I would appreciate at least a passing mention of why and what is the alternative explanation. Right now I am not getting any closer to finding out who is right about the topic and it just seems you are just another person pushing one of the two extremes: fat vs carb people, without even acknowledging the other side…

  5. Would you consider doing a video on how to read and understand a blood work report? Also, if any of the readings have changed from what was acceptable years ago to what is acceptable now ? Thank you for all of your hard work!

  6. This is very helpful. I was diagnosed in Feb 2019 with type 2. I began keto and very strict. HbA1c 6.6. Try as I might, exercise ( moderate ) 78 years, strict diet, no grains or dairy. Sensitive to these. I cannot get below 6.6. Am tested every 3 months. Never taken meds. Last 10 months strict carnivore with zero carbs. My HbA1c was 6.9 yesterday. I do fasting and enjoy it. Have lost 80 lbs. Feel great. But now my dr wants to put me on Metformin. The only thing that holds me back is stress. (Sick husband) I asked her directly is stress an issue? She says NO. It is genetic, no family member has ever been diagnosed with diabetes. How can it be genetic. Anyway I do not want to be medicated. But nearly 3 years . I just don’t get it. I must be very severely insulin resistant. What is my next move?

  7. In this one video Dr Sten Ekberg combines what many other doctors take hours to explain or they bury us in detail that misses the point of patient empowerment. I send this video (and channel) to every person who is as well as those who are apparently not suffering a metabolic disorder related to insulin resistance.Thank you for this.

  8. I have been following you for about
two months now. I have type two diabetes. Since I started following your diet my blood sugar has dropped like a rock in water. Which is great. However I’m not sure if I can ever be non-diabetic. We went out to dinner with some friends the other night and I went off diet. When we got home my wife and I did a blood sugar test I was 189 and she was 124. Obviously she’s not diabetic we had the exact same meal. ???

  9. High level of ROS (reactive oxygen species) is the main cause of insulin resistance.
A high fat diet is associated with a reduction in the hepatic levels of GSH , antioxidant glytathione.
In skeletal muscle, markers of oxidative stress has been reported to be increased by high fat diet which leads to increased peripheral insulin resistant in association with ectopic fat storage in muscle.
Could someone kindly commend on it ? (Copied from a certain site)

  10. All you have to do is drink one tbsp of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar and you can get your levels back to normal. It helped two people I know and myself. My doctor and cardiologist both said my levels were great and were surprised.

  11. I would love for Dr. Ekberg to discuss C-Reactive Peptide tests. I believe that also is rarely ordered and is also indicative of insulin resistance. My doctor says Medicare fights against Insulin testing unless indicated, mine isn’t because A1C is 4.8. I think after 67 yrs on earth, my past bad eating habits still haunt me. I say this after a lot of home glucometer testing.

  12. Can you do a video on the benifits for keeping glucose down by having more muscle. Insulin is not needed when muscle takes glucose from the blood and liver.
This is another reason why exercise is a good thing, because if your muscles by exercise can bring down insulin levels then exercise does make people loose wait via reduced insulin.
